Stirling Property POV

The property market in Central Scotland is still experiencing rising prices, with detached houses and new builds leading the price hike. However, buyer demand across the region, and the country as a whole, continues to fall, mainly in response to rising interest rates, and there are signs that the increase in prices will slow down.

The Stirling rental market is ridiculously strong and the average rent in Stirling City Centre is currently sitting at £1,200 per month. Elsewhere in the central belt the rental market also continues to rise. Demand for smaller 2 and 3 bed properties is through the roof, with the average rental property having 16 potential tenants to choose from. The average rent in the Stirling area has increased by £50 in three months to a current price of £795.

For house hunters, October is still a great month to buy a new property, as sellers tend to be keen to conclude a sale and move into their new home before Christmas.
